Is there any reason why I should be afraid to purchase Connecting Threads Seconds in the beautiful solid colors - that I have been drooling over for a week now?

Can you think of any problem I could have -& No, I will not be using them for backing?

I've been looking at them too so I'll be anxious to see if anyone has bought 2nds and what they think.

I would think they may have a flaw or be off grain but would work if you are going to cut them up. No one seems to be unhappy with fabrics from Connecting Threads.

I have never read any complaints about their fabric. And the prices were great. (just checked it out) Will be interested in this too.

I just received a bunch of "seconds" fabric from them and I'd order it again. Worth the $$.

Thanks for the link!

If you click on the picture of the fabric it will tell you why it is a second then you can decide if the flaw is enough to keep you from purchasing.

Am I blind? I don't see solids in the section of seconds.

Does anyone use their thread for longarming?

MN Gamma 12-30-2010 07:46 PM

I just placed my first order with Connecting Threads. I ordered some of the seconds along with a couple jelly rolls. I can't wait for it to arrive.

When I read the page regarding the seconds at Connecting threads, there is a description of the flaw with each selection. None seemed to be very dramatic.

I love their fabrics. I am thinking of buying some for backing too.

Oh boy.......I have been looking at those and thinking of buying some. Thanks for the input. My kids got me a gift card and I'm going to check these out. What great prices.

Mariposa 12-30-2010 09:16 PM

Fabric prices are going up any day now....better order soon!

patricej 12-31-2010 02:29 AM

isn't it great that they are:

(1) so honest that they say up front the fabs are seconds?
(2) offering them at low-low prices?
(3) not sending them to the landfill?

gives me warms and fuzzies. :-)
