Connecting Threads . . . I'm tempted to order some 50 wt for piecing. Yes/No/Maybe?
For the past few days I've been studying thread weights & needles (which is quite fascinating ! ! !). I've purchased some Aurifil, Gutermann, etc., to get started on the correct thread path. I'm tempted to order a few spools from CT because of their prices & it wouldn't break the bank replenshing my colors. Please share some thoughts. Thanks.

I have used Connecting Threads for piecing and quilting on my Janome and it worked fine. My favorite thread for piecing is Aurifil but it is pricey.

I've been using it for piecing and I really like it so far.

I have lots of it. I use it mainly for piecing and FMQ on my Elna 7300 and Singer 15-91. My HQ Sweet Sixteen does not like it, the thread weight is too light.

I love Connecting Threads thread! I use it almost exclusively now. It is very economical, but a very good product. :)
Caroline, I also have an Elna 7300 - love it!!:) |
I use Aurifil on my Janome. Works great and I buy it from Etsy.com. I will have to look on CT. I think it is really reasonable on Etsy.

Try it. Only you can decide. Personally, I only use it in my vintage machines that I service myself. I don't use it in my expensive, newer machines. I find it lumpy, bumpy, linty and generally not of good quality. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for IMO.

I use Precensia 50 wt. for my sewing on all my machines and it works perfectly. I bought Aurifil 50 wt. also. I love 50 wt. I've never used CT. I heard it was linty and don't need any more lint than I already have. But 50 wt. is awesome!

I value all of your input . . .Thanks.
