Ok someone tell me NOT to buy fabric on the connecting threads website sale. I need a good reason! I put the fabric in my cart and thought I could use the book that I bought day before yesterday to make a quilt...but I can get all the fabric I need to make TWO quilts for 50 dollars.....what do you think!!??

You don't want to know what I think! I think I need to order more from there. I stocked up on fabric for backing and all the fat quarter sample packs on sale. I bought thread and several kits and lots of yardage. I have enough to make all the quilts I know I'll make this next year, God willin' and the crick don't rise.

I always check the web specials under kits. The fat quarter and fat eight samplers are usually reduced 30% to 40% when listed there.

Mom, you will love this site. You get to "peek" inside books at Connecting Threads. They have great stuff! Um, I just might be shopping there now ...

I can't talk you out of it as I ordered from there not too long ago and got some great backing fabric! Also if you do buy try CHARM as a discount code. I don't know if it will still work or not but it takes like 15% off the order I think.

I can't help you out. I just bought fabric there for the first time last week and am eagerly awaiting the arrival. Everyone says they have really good fabric so am soon to find out. I do know their thread is really good. OOPS!!

I love that place. That is the only place I will buy my thread. It's cheaper even with shipping than what it costs to drive to Joann's 3 miles away, and by thread.

My experience is that CT fabric is not the best of quality and their thread is not the quality I want to spend time putting into a quilt.

If you really like it, reallllly like it and it is a good price go for it! It might not be there long. Learned the hard way.

I can't tell you not to buy fabric. I just came from Walmart and got alot of fabric at half price and christmas fabric was marked down to about 60 cents a yard.Bad news is they are closing out their fabric. Now all I need is more thread.And connecting threads is the best place I know to go.

I see that they have two new collections on their site today as well, Cheep Talk and Sip of Summer (although not on sale yet of course.). I have two orders coming, I ordered them on around the 10th of Dec so I'm hoping they will be here soon! I am really curious to see what the quality is like as well.

My sister bought fabric from CT to make a 'Twisted Sister' quilt (yes, that's the pattern name) for another sister of ours (50th birthday) and the fabric was beautiful. I've also ordered from them and have had nice kits and jelly rolls.

DH and I just spent the weekend with friends in Wisconsin and went to Walmart in Baraboo, where I found some fleece remnants, one of which made up nicely into a small blanket for a friend's little boy. I purchased an equal amount of coordinating fleece for backing, sewed and flipped right sides out, then quilted on the lines. If the piece were a bit bigger, I'd keep it for myself, but I won't get greedy! ( The Baraboo Walmart has some nice selections of fabric.)

I am going back to walmart this weekend. I am hoping all there fabric isn't all gone.But with it being half price there probably won't be anything.It doesn't hurt to look.

I hope you did.....or you are probably kicking yourself right about now.

I gave in and bought 17 yards and it arrived and one is nicer than the next.
I have purchased other items before from Connecting Threads but this was my first time ordering fabric from them but it won't be my last.
