Has anyone heard of the Connecting Threads Warehouse Sale? Ir is supposed to be somewhere in Ohio. I heard it is fabulous. Lots of books and fabric by the pound. If so how often do they have the sale? And when is the next one?

They had it in August. Not sure if it's once a year or not.

Where in Ohio is the sale?

It was in August in Grove City. I went with a friend, and if it's going to be an annual event, we won't miss it! Wow, we had fun and got so much fabric. All fabric was $2.96 a pound, and books were $3 (I think). They also had bolts of fabric, yarn, kits, and I think that's it. I spent about $40 and I filled two 13-gallon trash bags with fabric.

Using cottons, for example, approx how many yds =s a lb??

typically 2.5-3 yards weighs a pound depending on the weight of the fabric.

connecting threads tends to be on the thin side so you might actually get a little more then 3 yards.

I've read on here that their batiks are thin, but I don't use batiks. Their other cotton fabrics that I've bought (other than at the warehouse sale) are very good quality. One thing I noticed about the fabric I purchased at the warehouse sale was that much of what I picked out was dated 2010 and 2011 on the selvage.
