Does anyone here use a cordless iron? I think Maytag makes one. I would like to eliminate dealing with a cord while pressing, and I've also tripped on my cord and burned a spot on my carpet.

Had one a couple of years ago. Never seemed to get hot enough. Finally gave it away.

I've been using a Maytag one for about 5 years. I love mine.

Didn't like mine, the base was too finicky - had to place the iron on it just a certain way or it would topple. Also couldn't find a good spot for the base, it was too big for the iron holder dohookey on the side of the board which meant it had to sit on the board taking up more room - and it would topple. My current plug in B&D needs replacement so I'll be looking at new irons soon.

I did some searching for a cordless iron a couple of months ago, and got scared off by bad reviews on most of the ones I looked at.

On the other hand, I too have tripped over my cord a couple of times...

I've used my Maytag cordless for years with no problem. It's great for workshops, seminars etc. and at home it sits beside my machine for pressing as I go. It gets really hot, really fast. I use my Rowenta for regular ironing.

I have a Panasonic and it's very handy. I have found it doesn't get as hot as a regular corded iron.

I have one ,it's in the closet. It doesn"t stay hot enuf I think it's hard to aline on the holder , If it's not setting just right it won't heat at all. GL
