Ok I went to Hancocks last week to buy 100% cotton batting.
The lady told me that warm and natural is 100%. So I got a yard. Now when I read the wrapping that comes with it. It says that Federal Requ. 87.5% cotton and 12.5% polyprp. Is this fabric really 100% cotton? I was already to cut it to make some potato bags and now I feel I have to wait and go back to the store.

And I already had some that I had boughten at walmart a while back and just noticed they both say the same thing. So is suppose to say 100% somewhere on the wrapper?

Hmmmm I buy warm and natural and it states that it is cotton batting... I never read the whole label though, I will next time I buy it.

I googled polyprp and it is a polymer that is used as a fiber because it dyes well and doesn't absorb water. It is also used as a plastic for dishwasher safe dishes and can withstand heat up to 320 degrees.
So I don't know about using it for potatoe bags, I would think it may get hotter than that. Also, plastics not made specifically for microwaving, can leach out a poison/chemical of some kind. Interesting...

I really don't get the whole potato bag thing.

Most people say here that 80/20 is the best. So now we know that is Warm and Natural?

I just love the way it is constructed. So stable.

I heard Warm and Natural is 100% cotton. I'll have to read the label next time.

I went to their site and looked at the products. It says that it has 100% cotton fibers needle punched.Does that mean it is 100% and what does the fed. requ. mean?

Wow, I have to check my warm and natural. I love it anyway. :-)

I'm just guessing but my guess would be that the scrim is the part that is not cotton. W & N is needlepunched through a scrim, I think.
