I am looking to make curtains for my sewing room does anyone have a pattern? Can I use my quilting material for this?

What type of curtain are you looking for? Valiance, drapes, etc.

I don't have a pattern but you certainly could use quilting fabric. If you find it too thin or it lets in too much sunlight, then just line them with either lining fabric or muslin, I have done both.

You don't need a pattern for curtains. All you need are the measurements. Measure the length, add enough for the top header and bottom hem. I like my top headers to be between 4 and 6 inches so I add 6 to 7 inches for that. For the bottom hems I like them to be 2 to 4 inches so I add 4 to 5 for that. Measure the width of the window. You want the curtains 1 1/2 to 2 times the width.

Looking for longer curtains. I am right by the highway and would like curtains in the evening

I don't have them anymore, but I made curtain out of a bunch of 6 inch squares. I lined them with a light blue flannel to help keep out the cold.(old drafty house) They looked pretty good with my furniture at the time which was a blue/brown/beige plaid.
