Has anyone tried the cutting edge rulers with the diamond carbide edge. These apparently sharpen the blade every time you use the ruler.

I tried one and don't like it. If I didn't line up the rotary cutter just perfect it seemed to nick the blade. My blade seemed to get duller, instead of sharper. Plus, the feel of the blade going down the length of the ruler felt like fingernails down a chalkboard.

That was my first reaction, euwww, the sound. Another gimmick or has anyone had good results?

I tried one and did not like it at all. For some reason, none of my cut pieces were the correct size. I don't have that problem with my other rulers.

I got one as a gift, I don't like the noise it makes so I use the other side.
