Cutting Instrutions
I am cutting fabric and the instructions say to 'cut across the bolt of the fabric'. What does that mean?

It means to cut crosswise -- from selvedge to selvedge. Most fabrics are 42 to 44 inches wide. Cutting across the bolt of the fabric will give you strips 42 to 44 or so inches long.
It is a strange way of saying it, though. |
do cut across, from selvedge to selvedge, but cut the selvedges off first...otherwise, you have to trim dozens of little pcs off...
