Cutting table

Does anyone have the cutting table that is in this weeks Joanns ad? I am thinking about getting it today since it is 40% off and I can get an aditional 25% off with the coupon. Is it any good?

Dkm 11-06-2011 02:38 PM

Yes I have two of them and couldn't live with out them. They are just the right height for cutting.

LyndaOH 11-06-2011 03:02 PM

I have one and love it! I especially like that I can fold it up when I'm not using it and stick it in a corner. Go for it!

Deborahlees 11-06-2011 03:08 PM

Had for several years now, could not live with out it....I am sure there are better, but this one is pretty good value for the money....and it is so nice to have the right height for cutting and save your back....

jitkaau 11-06-2011 03:16 PM

I have one and it is adequate enough. It is stable and saves the back. However, you might need it to be a bit taller or adjust the height if you are tall. I am only 5'7" and would like it to be a little taller. As with a lot of furniture, it seems to be made for short people.

NJ Quilter 11-06-2011 04:09 PM

If it's the one that the 2 sides fold down, I have one that was purchased elsewhere. I agree it's a great table. I'm 5'2" and find it a bit tall for long cuts but overall am very happy with it. I also use it as an ironing surface with just a towel folded in half as well as using it for sandwhiching my quilts. I use binder clips on the edges and can do king size quilts on this table with some wiggling around.

I have had one for several years. You won't regret it one bit. It is perfect and when I don't need it it folds up and is out of the way. Excellent table.

CruisingStef 11-06-2011 04:19 PM

Yes, I have two of them also. they are great. Not just for quilting, but great for sewing, crafting, and my worst habit- using it as a clutter-all! But best of all, they fold away, when not in use.

Camping Angel 11-06-2011 04:23 PM

I do not have the table but I do have the cutting board. I have had it for two years and it is already worn out. I use it alot, so I would not buy another one, as I do not feel like I got enough use out of it. Although, for the price you can get it for this weekend, that sounds like a great deal. I just replaced mine with a 35" by 70" Olfa.

Ginny B 11-06-2011 05:18 PM

Wow, that will be a great discount! I got it with the 40% off coupon a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I'm only 4' 11" so it is a tad high bot for the most part it works great. Certainly is better than trying to cut things on my cutting mat on the floor or always having to use the dining room table. I say go for it and let us know what you think if you get it.

SuzieQuilts 11-06-2011 05:40 PM

I have one like it but I purchased it off e bay a few years back, but Joann's looks just like it. When I took it out of the box, a metal piece on the leg was broken off, Instead of going through the pain of sending it back, I went to the local welding store (I got tired of waiting for my son or husband to do it) and paid $5 to get it fixed. I ordered a thermal covering to put on it but rarely use it. I love mine. It does turn into a catch all, and I love it for wrapping presents at Christmas time, as it is the perfect hieght. Don't bother getting the plastic caddy that goes with it. It gets in the way, and keeps falling off. Enjoy.

Jingle 11-06-2011 06:01 PM

I had one, gave to oldest Daughter, she uses it all the time. I no longer had room for it.

Mitch's mom 11-06-2011 06:45 PM

I have had mine for about 6 years. I love it, have had zero problems with it.

luci4 11-06-2011 07:11 PM

I really like mine.

marilynr 11-06-2011 07:19 PM

I have had this table about 8 months & it is very functional. I use it all the time.

Bonbonary01 11-06-2011 07:20 PM

I agree that it is worth it. The height is great for me & now I don't get an achy back like when I cut on the dining room table.

jaciqltznok 11-06-2011 07:31 PM

I went and looked at them. I was not impressed. did not seem sturdy enough!

dkabasketlady 11-06-2011 07:40 PM

For the price it's good enough. I've had mine for about a year & use it all the time. I'd love to have another one.

amandasgramma 11-06-2011 07:56 PM

I don't have it --- but a warning. Joann's coupons usually say they're good on everything EXCEPT sale items. Just a warning..............

caspharm 11-06-2011 08:02 PM

I had one that I used for several years from JoAnn's. After I moved, I took the top off (the top came off during the move) and am using it on my current table for extra height.

SnowQuilt 11-06-2011 10:53 PM

I have one too and I love it. I would go for it. :)

sewbeadit 11-06-2011 11:15 PM

I have one and it works!

missionslady 11-06-2011 11:51 PM

My children went together and gave me one years ago, and I love it! I appreciate that you can fold down either or both sides if needed. I try to keep mine opened up though, and I bought a mat that fits the table when opened full length. It is a great table and reasonably priced. I'm 5'3" and it is the right height for me.

SueDor 11-07-2011 03:22 AM

I am on my second one. I like the height and all, but I noticed that the second one is not as good as the first one.

teddysmom 11-07-2011 03:29 AM

My sister has one and LOVES it. I'm green with envy because we live in an RV and I don't have room for one (sigh)!

Buttons922 11-07-2011 03:32 AM

I have mine in my RV and it is perfect. Bought the iron pad and the other is set up for cutting. The folds down to about as thick as my old ironing board. Even without the coupons I would suggest HIGHLY that you get.

So, I've been wondering if you got the table and, if so, what do you think of it? I was using mine yesterday and thinking about how much it easier it is for me now that I have the table and thought about you and figured I'd check and see if you decided to get the table.

maryel 11-12-2011 06:08 AM

Love mine, couldn't live without it. It's a perfect height.

damaquilts 11-12-2011 06:22 AM

I have had a Joann's one for about 4 yrs now. Mine had the single swing legs. I have had to re enforce the legs with L brackets and my brother had to add 4 bolts to the top to keep it on but all in all I guess for $70 in todays world I am happy. We all know they don't make things like they use to. I want to build my own out of solid wood. Maybe someday. I need one that folds up and that I can move around.

katsewnsew 11-12-2011 06:43 AM

I have one along with the cutting mat. Works well for me. I like the fact that I can fold it up and out of the way if necessary. If it is on sale, JoAnn's will not take additional coupons off on that price. Coupons are only good for "regular" priced items.

They do put out special coupons for people on their email and mailing list once or twice a year. I have one, that I missed darn it, That says 25% off Includes regular & sale priced items. . I did however manage to bring the 10% off entire order when I went and got my shade material .

GlitzyMe 11-12-2011 07:34 AM

Yes, perfect height for me (I'm 5'3").

sassymoose 11-12-2011 08:42 AM

I've had mine for 7 years and it works great. Most of the time i only have 1 side up. I was worried that it wasn't sturdy enough but it is.

yayaquilts 11-12-2011 08:44 AM

My friend has one and it is nice!

Olivia's Grammy 11-12-2011 08:47 AM

I bought it a couple of years ago when I need a temporary one. I gave it to my DIL and she loves it.
