Cynthia England
Has anyone done any Cynthia England picture piecing? I happened upon her website by accident the other night and was intrigued. I would consider my self an advanced beginner. I've been quilting a few years, but have alot to learn yet. I love trying new techniques and I like to be unique in whatever I do.
So, does anyone have any experience with this technique? |
I made this one a few years ago. Not too difficult, give it a try.

I would love to give one of her quilt a try as well, I just don't have a stash big enough yet to have enough different colours to tackle one of her quilts.
Have you seen this paper piecing site http://www.silverliningsoriginals.com/ I have been collecting the free BOM, I wish I had signed up for the fabric pack though, I just don't have the variety to do them properly. |
Thanks Fancyfoot! I think I may order the Christmas Angel from her website. It says for beginners so hopefully I won't goof it up. I don't see the ghost pattern available anywhere.... it's cute! I love the glowing fabric and thread!
Woody, the silver lining website is awesome! I'd love to do a bunch on there. So many cool things...so little time |
I have her book and a few of her patterns. I plan on trying something in the near future. I see her at the quilt shows a lot.

No but I am taking her class at the road2ca quilt show in january and am excited

I have no idea. However one thing I have learned is if you never try a new technique, how will you know if you like it or not.

I watched Cynthia at Quilt festival last year. She makes it look so easy. And you are not working backwards like foundation piecing.Very cute Halloween quilt. Now you can get glow-in-the -dark white fabric.

I've made 3 of her patterns and I like the technique. I think they're fun and my favorite part is picking the fabric.
