I was in the process of answering the question of one post and hit the wrong button and now the original appears to have disappeared. So I will write as a new topic.

Dear Jane is a trademark of Brenda Papadackis (sp) who wrote a book of patterns based on a quilt in the Bennington Vt Historical Museum. The original quilt was made by Jane Stickle in the mid 1800's and is an amazing piece of work.
Brenda named the book and all that has followed "Dear Jane"
