I dropped into the local Fabricland today. Then I left.
I left to go to the bank!!
They had several tables of cottons "buy 1 get 3 free" as well as some "buy 1 get 2 free".
Well now, that's my price!
So, I got 12 meters of a beautiful light yellow print that will make nice backing fabric.
I got 8 meters of a yummy brown print that will be a good neutral
I got 4 meters each of two purples, and two blues that will be going to my next niece's quilt (#5 of 10 to make)
I got a meter of the red floral that I'm using in a current project - that I'm running short of..
etc.
All in all, I got almost 35 meters of fabric, and spent $170. (including the 13% tax we pay here.)
I am a happy camper tonight!

What a fantastic sale.

I joined a stash busting group; no fabric purchases for as long as I can hold out. Most people go for a year. I'm not sure but I am going to try with only emergency baby fabric needs. Ugh! I hate it already.

Jim 01-01-2011 11:00 AM

WOW I consider myself a bargain shopper but, you want to shop for me?...lol

Patchworkmarion 01-01-2011 12:44 PM

What does a BIG shopping day look like? LOL

ga447 01-01-2011 12:49 PM

For me it is spending between $84 - $100, the fabric is really really good. I brought some Blackbird design fabric (I Love Love Love). I like the bargains I get when I go to the thrift store.

Tweety2911 01-01-2011 06:51 PM

Great deal! With those prices you can afford to buy enough yardage to use for backings.

tjradj 01-01-2011 07:28 PM

When I got home, my son collected the mail - and there was a parcel from an online purchase too! Yummy!

The plans? I need plans? Just kidding.
I have 10 nieces and nephews, and 4 great nieces and nephews, and 4 brothers and sisters , and, and...
So far, the three oldest have received theirs. So there is lots of room for more. Right now I have the top made for the next nephew in line, and I'm working on the top for the next niece.
They better remember this old auntie when I'm in a home!!!
