I bought a longarm from a lady who decided she liked piecing better. She sent 6 tops with me for practice quilting. the first 3 at no charge, then she has 17 more tops to do for pay. I started with the top one in the sack. I stitched over and over on it, then cut it in smaller pieces for more stitching. Before Christmas I called to tell her they were done. She asked for the 'teal' quilt as it was special. Would you believe it was the first one I did? I am just sick. I truly do not remember her saying that one was special, plus I see it as blue not teal. I am trying to rip a lot of it out and put it back together in a different pattern. Sorry this is long, but it has really been eating at me. Any suggestions?

Oh My!!! I think she should have been more specific regarding which were for practice and which weren't :wink:

Have you talked to her about the tops since she asked for the "special " one back ? I would start there and explain that there was no "teal" one in the stack and you had a blue one, that she had given you to practice on , which you did and then cut up for more practice. You bought the LA from her ? Who was getting paid to quilt the tops ? I think honesty is the best policy here, everyone knows there is a "slight" rick of things happening when yu hand your quilt over to someone else and even though we hope and pray that nothing goes wrong , occasionally it does.Good Luck
