I am planning on making a baby quilt using a fussy cut focus fabric for the outside corners. If I use 6 1/2 inch squares i would only use 4 blocks making a 35 inch square and then border. If I use 4 1/2 inch squares I would probably make 12 blocks (3 x 4) making it about 35 x 46. My question is which would look better.

Personally, I would use the 4 1/2 inch squares. For lack of better words I like the quilt to fit the person so to me the larger blocks would be to big for a baby quilt.

Yep, I agree that the smaller blocks would be nice for a baby quilt

Thank you. I was only considering the 6 1/2 inch block because I wouldn't waste as much fabric.
