I picked up some thread at a yard sale and there is some of this thread in there. It looks like it might be embroidery thread, but I have never seen this name before.

Any idea of quality? One end says DMC the other Brilliance D'alsace.

I forgot to say it was machine thread. I added a picture.

I used to sell it years ago when I had a shop, and I used the 30 all the time for machining - the 50 might be a bit fine, but try it out, it should be strong enough, but that variegated wouldn't show up a great deal in the 50.
