Do you ever look back through old quilting magazines, maybe 20 or so years ago, reading about the quiltmakers and wonder if they are still around? I am flipping through the Summer 1987 "Quilt" and reading the article "The British Are Coming!" With the article there is a picture of 16 British quilters (and one has her hands over her face (grin). This article speaks of maybe the beginning of an International Quilt Exchange kind of like the current Student Exchange program in the U.S. I have several old magazines and love looking through them, wondering about the people mentioned; If they are still around; If they are still quilting; even wondering if some are on this board. Which brings up another question - Have you ever been mentioned in quilt magazine?

I also love looking at what was NEW and ground breaking! We take it for granted now!

Funny you should bring this topic up now, I was reading through some old magazines only last night. The oldest one being from 1992.

How would I blog them? Type in their name and see what appears? Would love help on this.
