One of my dear friends is moving. She gave me some of her quilting supplies. this little gadget was in it. Does anybody know how to use it? It fits a Kenmore machine and is called a circular decorator.

I have never seen it. It looks like it would do something with a circle. Have you read the package? I think that is what I would do.

It looks like a gizmo my Grandma had to sew circles on her machine. I was too young to know how it worked exactly, but she set it up and would use decorative stitches to sew circle designs on pillowcases and table cloths. This was back in the day before embroidery machines.

I saw something like that on Fons and Porter, to sew perfect circles

Here is a link to a Kenmore Circular Decorator on Craigslist:

I just saw this on Fons and Porter. It allows you to sew circles on fabric. They did a variation of Drunkard's Path by taking plain fabric and using this tool to sew circles on it and made it really beautiful!

I've got the directions and everything that goes with it. It's still in the package. I am not good with written directions. But, I believe I'm going to try this puppy out and see if I can make it go round and round. I just wondered how it worked. and what all it was used for.

I think I had one that came with my mom's early 1960's Kenmore.

I saw that F&P show too, made me want to buy one of those circle makers.
