This look like the kind of fabric that My grandmother used in her kitchen curtains. It is a small open weave. You can see through it.

Sure looks like cotton. What are you going to do with it? If you don't want curtains, you could make an apron and thnk of your Grandma everytime you put it on. To test to see if it is cotton snip off a small piece and burn it. If it curls and makes a hard knot it has poly in it. Burned silk smells like burned hair and cotton makes an ash.

I agree with Karenmay, I think it's a heavy cotton scrim, I have some old,old homemade curtains almost identical to yours. I still use mine on our french doors.

It does have poly in it. Thanks everyone. I have fabric that I don't even know what it is. But I like this one.
