This was a guild workshop project for me. A nearby quilt shop provided the pattern and complete fabric Batik kits with decorative trim and even the small cutting mat for $25. It's great for tossing in a tote or keeping in the car for handwork. I made another one for my DGD. She keeps her gel pens, markers, and paper notebook in it. Teens seem to always have special pens and notebooks to doodle. If you Zentangle it's perfect for on the go.

I would just pay the $5 and get the pattern. Someone spent the time and effort to make this, why not pay her for doing that? $5 for a pattern is cheap!

I made one and I love it, I use it all the time

It looks dead easy to copy from the picture.Just measure up squares and rectangles and put some divisions in them to hold the tools.

I made this awhile back and use it all the time. I also did a class at a LQS on it so I have some directions as well and put it out as a tute (there is a pdf file under the photo for download). It is larger than what you showed but it works for me!! lol
http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...al-t38958.html I have also included some pics of the one I have |
yes I have made them...the 5x7 mat helps to keep it firm...they are fun

I don't have the pattern. But, it looks fairly simple to make. Maybe you could make your own design. I say, GO FOR IT!

Yes, I just received one as a gift from a friend. It's a cute way to keep a few tools protected when you travel. It doesn't hold the wide variety of tools I regularly use, but for a class, you mostly only need a few.
