My local stores never seem to have the colors I need in hand quilting thread. I really want to order from a place where I will be placing a fabric order so as to not have to pay shipping charges for just thread from some other place.

I'm looking for reasonably large spools for a decent price. This is ISACORD Embroidery Poly - 40 Wt and comes in a large variety of colors.

Are there reasons this should not be used for hand quilting?

I really feel I've gone blind looking at sites for thread.

Your input, please, and thanks so much.

if the thread is strong- and what you like to use- it is fine to use it-
i have had some embroidery threads that were not strong- break way too easy to be used for quilting= but then there are some that are just fine. it is your project- use what you like,
there are plenty of people who quilt with silk thread too-
nothing wrong with it- as long as it's strong thread and what you like
i like rayon threads sometimes too- great colors- and great sheen

I haven't used this thread I'm asking about and it's not available locally. That's why I'm asking. I'm hoping someone who has used this thread for hand quilting or for anything, really, will reply, both pros and cons, on its effectiveness for hand quilting.
