Yesterday at my sewing group, one of the ladies had a couple of sewing needles that were really cool. I am not exactly what I would use them for but I sure would like to have some of them.
They are pointed at both ends and in the middle is the eye to thread the thread through. Here is a picture please be aware I DO NOT claim to be an artist. LOL. But if anyone knows what they are called or where I can find them at I would really appreciate it. Thanks for all that helps.

I've never seen needles like that. I'm afraid I'd hurt myself if I tried to use one.

LOL I probably will. :)

This is what I found...
"Twin Pointed Needles

Twin pointed needles have points on both ends with an eye in the middle. This allows stitching with one hand on each side of a hoop-mounted canvas or quilt. No needle turning means less wrist strain, less thread twisting, less dropping the needle between stitches and faster stitching."

This particular link has them on sale as they are not going to reorder. Pretty good price at a $1.00/packet.

They are John James Twin Point Stab Stitch needles and can be found pretty much anywhere...Hancock Fabrics for 3.10, Hancocks of Paducah for 1.98, a wide range of prices for the 3-pack.

I found out they were double pointed tapestry needles pretty quick, but finding someplace that sells them was a little tricky. I finally found a site overseas that sells John James brand sewing needles, and a little more searching found out that JoAnns also sells them. Here's a link from JoAnns - http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog/p...RODID=prd12805

well this sounds like these might be good to use for cross- stitching. What do you all think?
