I love using the start/stop button on my Janome. I have not had a problem with guiding my fabric through because the button is positioned in just the right spot near the presser foot.

My friend at the sewing machine store suggested using the start /stop button about two years ago and it has made all the difference in the world. I can sit for hours without any back pain at all.
