Then he picked up my 100+ 1" x 2" pinned pieces that were sorted by color, held the pin head in his finger tips and asked "what would you do if I pulled this pin out - is it important?" I told him I would stab him with the pin and shooed him out. He can be such a child sometimes. He likes to wind me up.

BUT ... when I ask him to help me photograph a quilt, or fold an extra large piece of fabric, or whatever - he's always a great help.

Mine serves as a consultant for colors, layouts, etc. (his grandmother made beautiful quilts, so he is very supportive and considers himself something of an expert), he is my absolutely wonderful tech support for my computer, and he steals my chocolate stash when I'm not around.

It's nice when our husbands help us out. Recently made a scrappy paperpieced quilt and he took all the paper off for me. Really appreciated that.

The only help my husband gives me in my sewing room, is making shelves and holders for my rulers and stuff like that. I would love for him to spend the day in there with me helping me out, but the image of a caged lion comes to mind...

I was up on a stool, rummaging through my stash on a high shelf, when Hubby walked in and said "That's such a pretty site, you fondling fabric!

He does whatever I ask him to do, but usually nothing to do directly with sewing. He built the sewing room to my specifications (read, as a short person) and then just lets me be

It was awesome to have someone to tear the paper off the back of my blocks and having his company for the afternoon was really nice.

What a great helper and wonderful that he spent that quality time with you. I loved it when my husband would do his rc cars at one end and me sew at the other end our big dining room table.
