This quilt top was in rough shape when it came to me. There were about 20 small pieces that needed to be replaced. But because of the fact that I value all the work that went into the quilt so far, I was willing to take on the challenge. BTW, this was hand-pieced by a high school classmates mother (who died about 6 years ago, so the quilt has high sentimental value).

The first picture is after all the damaged pieces have been replaced. Then there are a few pictures of the quilting process on the Long Arm Machine. It is off the long arm machine now, but I will wait to take pictures until the binding is sewn on.

I am really pleased with the end results of the quilting and binding on the Double Wedding Ring Quilt! There were a few areas that didn't lay flat, but overall I think it turned out pretty good! There was some staining due to years of storage, but after soaking in cold water and non-chlorine bleach it looks better. It was a great experience!

It's ready to go on the bed!

Hi Carol. That was nice of you to fix the problems. Beautiful quilt--can't wait to see it after it is bound!

What a challenge! Great job though. I'm sure the family will appreciate your restoration process.

Thanks, everyone for your feedback! It really makes me happy to work on a beautiful quilt like this! There was a question initially whether or not it was worth the effort! I'm really glad that it is completed now!
