Did anyone take part in the Elvis Challenge" sponsored by Big Horn Quilts?
I did, and had quite a bit of fun with it, but I'm glad to say he "left the building" yesterday on his journey to Wyoming. I'm very curious to see what the other entrants did with the (awful) fabric! That was my first attempt at quilting competion, and now I think I'm hooked!
Next...It's on to the Hoffman Challenge. Wow! Is the fabric pretty! I don't have the slightest idea what I'm going to do with it, but I'll think of something
Hmmmm....
Stay warm!

It does sound like a lot of fun, I hope you took some pictures so we can see what you did :D :D :D

barnbum 01-26-2008 12:53 PM

What?? No picture?? Isn't that illegal here to mention a quilt and not include a picture?? :D  I would love to see it.

I've seen those Hoffman challenges on Keepsake quilting, maybe? Waaay over my head to try one of those. I'd love to see what others do!

Very clever! LOVE IT! It makes me laugh! My mom loves Elvis! Do you have the link to the challenge? I'd love to see the others.

Good luck on the Hoffman challenge. Is that the one with the peacock/Oriental fabrics? I can't wait to see what you come up with! Such talent.

Tiffany 01-27-2008 08:20 AM

I decided I simply did not have the time to join one more Challenge and thus skipped the Elvis Challenge. Yours looks great! What a fun quilt. You'll definitely have to let us know how it does.

Emma, nice job with Elvis. my mom too loves Elvis. I made her a twin quilt to cuddle with and she just uses as a top cover for her bed. she said that she doesn't want to use it. so this year i plan on making her a wall hanging. any way back to you. do you have a link to the challenge? and how soon do you find out who the winner is?

Awesome quilt. I love the rainbow colors in the background. They remind me of the twinkling lights of Vegas.
