I made a baby quilt form a "quilt panel" I purchased.
I'd like to add the babies name. Do you embroider the name directly onto the quilt or make a "label" to attach ? I thought of embroidering the name onto a coordernating fabric & then hand sew onto the lower fron corner. Or, do you typically attached to the label onto the back of the quilt ? Thank you in advance for your help ! |
I do it directly on the quilt....easier IMO

I've done it both ways, but prefer to do it straight on the quilt. Much easier

I do it both ways....course I make quilt labels..so nowadays I do more of them.....

I embroider all the vital information for baby on back of quilt...name, dob (date of brith, pob (place of brith), weight, height etc...
|
I embroider the information on the quilt top before I add the batt and backing. If the quilt is already done I make a label and sew it on the back

I just made my first one! I embrodered her name and a heart in the corner, before it was quilted, right on the flannel.
