Embroidery machines
I am looking to get a used embroidery machine, I am looking at a Janome MC 300E. My friend has a Janome 11000. MUCH more expensive. I can't afford that one, but am wanting pros & cons on the 300e if you have one please,
Thank you for your input, LaQuita |
Don't have any information on the machine you are looking at but take into consideration what you want to do with your machine - how large do you want the embroidery field? Will the one you are looking at do everything you will want it to do. Get the best that you can afford.

I don't have that machine you are looking at. I do like my regular Janome a lot. My embroidery machine is the Brother PE770, with a field of 5 x 7. It is a embroidery only, but I like it. Don't know how much the Janome is, but think about what you want to do and then decide. I was not sure how much I would use it, but now I even quilt with mine. Good luck in your search.

Don't have one but I think they are very popular. It is wise to figure out what you want to do. I was gonna get a pe700 as they are popular but I waited about 2 years before I bought and I also thought I wouldn't use my dreamweaver alot but I use it all the time and I am glad I waited for the right machine for me. I would say go no less than a 5x7,

It is a great machine. The 300E can use both 4x4 and 5x7 hoops. The only downsides of a 300e is that it uses a PCI card and is not USB capable and it doesn't have an auto cutter. Both of those are very minor upgrades but they are the 2 that bothered me the most. And with the cards the smaller the better nothing of 2gig or the machine won't read it. I think this is a downfall of all embroidery machines tho, others will have to let me know on that. Even with a USB machine it cannot be a large memory stick or the machine just won't read it. Good luck with shopping :-)

I have the 300e and love it I do one colour blokes snow ball the four corners and put them into scrap quilts, which are all ways admired
I do have the Embird software |
That should read blocks not BLOKES vbg

The only minus about the 300 is that it doesn't have an automatic thread cutter, as I understand it. Otherwise it is like my 350E, which I love.

If given the choice for Janomes, I'd do the 350e if you can get it for a good price. That was my very first embroidery machine.. .then I got hoop envy and sold it, got a Janome MB4 which I hated, sold it, got a Brother 4500d, sold that and downsized to a Brother 770 which is kind of going full circle I know...
Is there a reason you are set on the 300 instead of the 350 or the Brother 770? I think you'd like the options that are available on them and not on the 300. |
Hello, My mistake, it was actually a 350E that I got. So now I am seeking help from those with the 350e.
I was given some various CDs (Anita Goodesign & Dakota) but when I put them in my computer, I can't get them to open up so I can't we the designs I want to save to th flash drive to use. Any suggestions on how to do this? The ,canine did not come with any software, the sewing machine shop that sold it to me said it did not come with any, Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks ! LaQuita |
