Which embroidery software?
 

I just received my new Brother PE770 embroidery machine. It came with My Editor which I have yet to download. Which embroidery software do you use?

Also: I had the Disney SE 270 sewing/embroidery machine which came with a 4"x4" hoop; I think I bought it in 2006. I cannot get over how much better the PE770 is & what advances Brother has made!

I have pe design plus, which I haven't used much, its okay, but I wished I had shopped around, try as many 30day free trials before you make your decision because I really wish now that I had purchased embroidery works because I like it better but to shell out another 500 bucks is out of the question, unless I sell my pe design plus. the only thing I do like on pe design plus that isn't on embroidery works is the photo stitch capability. I find embroidery works has more feature in actual editing and is more user friendly. Really wish I would have tried everything first

I like Embrilliance.com and their program. It's not expensive and easy to use...

I have both Generations and Floriani. Both were high priced. Generations seems to be complicated but has professional capabilities. Floriani was a little less in price, but much more user friendly. Any program you use will have a learning curve. None I have seen are " pull out of box, load and away you go". Practice, practice, practice...and google...YouTube...and any other resource you can find.

I use to use Pedesign, but I bought the floriani software about a year ago and absolutely love it.

I just got My Decorative Quilter software from Floriani and I think I'm going to like it. I was wanting to use my emb. machine to quilt and with this I can add stippling, most any design to a scanned block and bring in other designs for the whole block, also redwork. I just need more time to practice and learn this program. It seems to be user friendly to me.

I started with PE3 and later bought Generations, even pre-loved it was expensive. It took about 12 months before I found a guy who could show me the basics of using this program, and I haven't looked back since. The company also made free upgrades available, until windows 7 and now 8. I still have XP so not sure where we go from here. But Generations is still the best digitising software I've used.

I have 5D Pro and it is great. I was at a Floriani show last yr and thier software also looks impressive. From what they said they don't charge extra when a newer version comes out. I'm going to another of thier shows in Sept and they'll be focusing on the quilting software along with others. If you can find some stores to either show you what they have or go to these shows it would be great. The one in Sept is 49 and you get 599 in free stuff, thread, stabilizers, etc. You learn alot and have the opportunity to get the software, etc at really reduced prices.

I just ordered mine this a.m. Going to us it on my Janome 9900. I also ordered Alpha Tricks.

I'm just learning to use Embriliance. I'm using it instead of the incredibly pricey Bernina software.
