Entering a 3-D Pinwheel in Quilt Show

I will be entering a 3-D PW into our rinky-dinky quilt show in Oct. I made one for a friend as a baby gift and by the time I got it to her, the PW's were flat. My question is how do I transport this with squishing everything flat? The only thing I can figure is rolling it up with the front on the inside. Help!

That is probably ok. If you wanted to go to extremes, you could stuff tissue paper into each pinwheel.

You could offer to help hang/work the show which might allow you time to "fiddle" with your own quilt a bit after it is up for display but before the opening. Would a heated haircurling iron help?
