I have a euro pro machine it is all metal inside, it also drops the feeder for embroidary, I have had it for about 10 years and now I want to use it for quilting, I will never be able to have the high end machines, what do you all think?
It was around $400 back then. It is a little noisey but I don't mind that. Please let me know if any-one is farmiliar with this machine.

I am sure that if the feed dogs drop, it will be fine. You may have to play with tensions some but our grandmothers quilted on all sorts of machines when they didn't hand quilt. I have a Euro Pro serger that is about 10 years old and it is a workhorse! The main thing is have patience with yourself and practice.

I have a Euro Pro that I use as my backup machine. It is a very nice machine and I have been using it the last 6 weeks as my main machine has been in the shop and they can't seem to figure out what is wrong with it.

I also have an Euro-Pro machine that I got from my DSIL and I've never had a problem with it. I mainly use it for the fancy stitches and doing buttonholes.

I also have a EuroPro. I have machine quiltd on it and it works just fine. In fact, it has the largest throat space of any of my other 3 machines. I also have the serger, I love it. I think they make a fine machine.

I also have a europro, has all the fancy stitches, it's not a quilting machine, and my feed dogs don't drop. But that's all I've got and it works just fine. Never had a problem with it.

I have two Euro Pro's, and still use both. The first one I purchased was a Heavy Duty Denim machine many years ago. It is a "noisy" mechanical workhorse, and I still use it for heavy weight fabrics and denim rag quilts. My second machine is an electronic Euro Pro 9101 , I use it a lot for mending and such, because it has a free arm, but have also done a lot of quilting on it before I got my new Janome 6500, Which I also love and am still learning about all the bells and whistles. To answer your question, Yes you can quilt on a old, noisy, Euro Pro. Hope this helps you. Sharry
