Does anyone have the Euro-Pro sewing machine? Have seen it advertised on HSN and saw it demonstrated there. Forget who makes them. Would like some feed back cause I can get a rebuilt one for $30 and a local Roses. Thinking about one for it's light weight as well as CHEAP price!

I have a euro-pro serger and have had no problems. It's all plastic so is quite light. If you can try it out and return if not satisfied there's nothing to lose.

I have one and I love it. I bought it about 10 years ago. I have the higher end model with lots of different stitches. Since I'm doing quilting now though I generally use the straight and zig zag feature stitches. I do like that it has the needle up or needle down feature. I also enjoy that it has the speed control. It is easy to thread and has the needle thread accessory whichc is very helpful since my eyes are getting old and need all the help they can get. Sounds like a good deal. I would definately test drive it and try to spend some time sewing some pieces. Ask whether there is a manual and what feet are included.

You can purchase a foot adaptor to help with getting different feet to use on your machine.

I have one, also about 10 years old and high end, in my classroom. It shares the same manufacturer as Kenmore, Brother and Janome. The newer ones do not. The grandmother of one of my students had purchased a lower end one on QVC and gave it to her granddaughter. I had her bring it to class so she could learn to use it and sew her assignments on it. It worked fine but she didn't feel it was on the same level as the older mechanical Brother machine she had been using.
