Went camping in the mountains this past weekend. It was almost as if you could watch the leaves change color right before your eyes. The sky was so clear at night we could see the Milky Way across the entire sky. Of course I took my applique with me since I can't go a whole weekend without quilting.

They're starting to turn here in NW Missouri. I love fall, but sure dread winter.

This is one of the few things I really miss about not living up home (MN). I do get the change of color here but it is not the same. Something about the colder weather has more of a dramatic effect on the leaves. So glad you were able to enjoy the great outdoors like this.

The leaves are starting here; but boy do I miss the glorious changes in Southern Oregon.

We just got back from South Dakota. The temps were great. Except for two days when it was 35° degrees and sleet mixed with snow! What a difference from Texas. When we left home it was 95° (at 6:00 am). The Aspens up there were fantastic! Bright yellow against the majestic Ponderosa Pines. Wow. God doesn't make the Autumns in Texas like that! Still great here when we have a fall season, but not spectacular.

It is still over a 100 degrees here in Phx. but will drop this week hopefully.
Why did I end up here? For the winters that are perfect but end to soon.
