I am looking for a pattern which has a number of different hand held fans set on the diagonal on it
I saw it at a quilt show yesterday
Would anyone have a link for it

I believe it is grandmothers fan. You can do a search on the link above and find some other quilts/patterns

Thanks Jade
It isnt a Grandmothers fan
The quilt I saw had a number of different fans like ones you would carry to fan your self with
I probably didnt explain it very well

Scroll down almost to the bottom. I googled Japanese Fan Quilt. Lots of hits.

I don't know what the pattern is, but to clarify, you're looking for one that has the fans like the funeral homes used to give out here? The cardboard at the top, stapled to the wooden handle? It may be that quilter's own design.

Thanks for replying to my query
I am in Australia so dont know about giving out fans at funerals
I have seen the pattern somewhere but a long time ago
They are fans that would be used in asia japan or china
They are different shapes with handles and are made of material or cardboard.
They set on point in the quilt
