Fancy Straight Pins?
 

On some of the needle case swaps, and pin cushion swaps, I have seen some very pretty straight pins. Does anyone on here know how to make them? I would love to know how.

I've seen some pretty ones also. I think some people use the crafting clay that you bake. I don't know the name of it, sculpey maybe. Crafting with this is an art in itself, people make jewelry, buttons and all kinds of stuff. You get different colors, roll them together and cut, roll out and keep going until you get what you want. I saw a blog about it recently, but didn't bookmark it. I would love to buy some as I barely have time to sew!

I received several of those fancy pins in the pincushion swap and it looks like they were made with beads glued to the shaft of the pin. They are really pretty.

ive made some with beads crazy glued to pearl hat pins. Made a few with shrinky dinks, a plastic you cut and olor with markers, put in toaster o en and shrink,glue to pin. Also, sometimes in the scrapbook section of michaels has some and of course sculpy. Etsy has some
