I hope this makes everyone laugh, along with the idea for a gift.

My husband only wears boxer shorts. And since I love to sew, I bought a pattern for boxers about 2 years ago. It takes me about an hour and a half from cutting, to sewing the last stitch, and he loves them! I buy only novelty prints : motorcycles, Route 66 fabric, cowboys, tractors, etc. and that is all he wears now. The store bought ones just sit in the drawer.

It has even become a running joke with his knee surgeon (at check ups) as to what shorts he has on that I made most recently!

I think this is a very fun thing to do for the father of your children, or maybe your son, if its not too personal! It makes me so happy to know that he loves what I made for him that much - and it is a reminder to him of me all day long!

Of course, for my dad, I am making him a robe!

Wow...that makes me wish that my hubby wore boxers....I'm not going to make novelty briefs..Boxers would be hard enough.

What a wonderful idea!!!

There is a pattern out there somewhere for a boxer quilt. Really cute and a great use for fun novelty fabrics.

My hubby loves boxers too, but there is no way he would wear any made from novelty fabric!
