When you are FM your feathers on the borders of the quilt, can you do it with one continueous stitching line all around the quilt or do you cut your thread after each feather?

Yup, you sure can. I like the look, too. Depending on what type of feathers you like to do, put you spine around first, then do one side of feathers all the way around, nect do the other side. :)

One continuous thread is the preference for any quilting FMQ design.

The fewer the cut threads, the less breaks for it to unravel later, or for things to go wrong!

And a lot less tying off. :)

Theres some great youtube videos on feathers, I personally dont stitch the spine first, it is magically drawn for me each time I come back to center to make the next feather. I do how ever draw it on with fabric marker and then just free hand the feathers.
