I recently asked a question about how to mark 1/4 inch seam. Someone emailed that I could buy a 1/4 foot for the featherweight 221. I can't find the link. Can someone send me how to buy it. thanks for your help

My 2006 Singer ¼" foot fits my FW. Both are short shank machines.

thanks for the information. I just ordered the foot.

The Janome snap on foot adaptor will fit a FW. Now I can use the snap on 1/4" foot with guide on the FW that I use for my Janome.

If anyone else is interested in finding a 1/4 inch foot you can also get them from http://www.suncatcher-tx.com. He has other accessories and parts available as well. Just bought a 1/4 inch foot from him this week at the NQA show in Columbus, Ohio.

I got mine from April's 1930 shop and love it.

I kind of hope you ordered the more expensive one, it's more versatile. The $16 has a piece of metal the seam allowance butts up against when you're sewing seams. It is in the way (at least to me) if you are sewing half square triangles by stitching parallel to a line drawn on the diagonal.

I use the 1/4" foot to sew HSTs. I don't have to mark the sewing lines using the foot with metal guide. Just sew down one side and turn and sew down the other. I set the guide on the middle cut line.
