You know it all depends...I came across and bought 2 last summer within a month of each other, both advertised on Kijiji in my city...one was $125..and my Centennial was from an estate sale...all of $70.00...I was so excited..

$200 for your friend's is fair..

A good friend and I made a deal. She agreed to pin baste 10 quilts for me and I agreed to give her a centennial featherweight in wonderful condition with attachments and a case. I have trouble pin basting because of a back injury. I wanted to sell the machine for $500.00, it is in like new condition and runs great. She didn't want to pay cash. Maybe you and your friend can work out a trade.

I researched before I purchased mine last year and about the median price was $250. That is what I paid for mine. The case had a bit of a musty smell to it. There is plenty advice on how to rid the case of that. Mine came with everything including alot of attachments, etc. I am very happy with mine and do not feel that I got ripped off. You could also give your friend a little tip if you want to. Hope it all works out for you and your friend and that you will both be satisfied. Linda :-D

Mine is not a centennial and has a few dings on the front. I paid $135 for it, including the original case.

I paid $350.00 for my first one, great shape, 1954, the second was $200.00, good shape, both came with cases and attachments, check with your LQS for someone who deals with these machines, they should be able to give you an ideal of the value
