I am getting my first featherweight soon as some of you may already know. Most of you that have them, from what I can tell, give them female names. Question- can a featherweight be a "male"? The one I am getting has my DH's birthdate, so I wanted to name "him" after DH. Looking forward to your feedback :!:

I think since it's yours you can do what you want.
Sorry 'bout the Saints!!

Just like when giving birth, you get to pick the name. If you prefer a male name then by all means use one. I think most people give female names to them because they're so dainty. However dainty they have the workhorse ethics of a Clydesdale so call it Clyde or anything else you want.

I don't see why you couldn't give your FW a male name. I think it would be wonderful to name it after your DH, especially since they will share a birthdate.

I can't blame you! I think the whole country myself included didn't give the Seahawks a chance

I have a male 99K, his name is Charlie and he is a pretty small machine.

Sad about the Saints too  But the good news is... football season is over for me and I can sew instead of watching football.

Most machinery is given female names - every car I've owned has been known at Betsy. I'm not aware of any rules though. Maybe you could name it a girls name similar to his... like a twin.

Saturday was traumatic for me. I have been a Saints fan since I was 15. My first in-person football game was a Saints game with Archie Manning playing. And I became a football fanatic. Then the Colts came to Indy and I was in love with a home town team finally. And then 'my boy' Peyton came to play. I can remember going to Saints games and watching the boys on the sidelines before and after the games.

Last year's Super Bowl was enjoyable because I did care who won. And I wasn't upset that the Saints won because they definitely deserved it. So to have both of them out of the playoffs on the same day was heartbreaking. But we will come back even stronger next year - BOTH the Saints and the Colts.
