I was recently given material that was my husbands aunt who passed away. I found several different feed sack material pieces. Any ideas what to do with them? I'm so glad to have them. Does anyone use them in a quilt now or should I just keep them. they don't seem to be worn or fragile. They are thicker than our cottons today.

My mom purchased some that were made into dresden plates. Wonderful fabric and fun to work with. I don't know if I could cut it myself.

I would make a very special quilt with it. What a family memory that would be.

Stolen Idea: Sometime back, I saw a framed display of wedding dress fabric. The bride saved clippings and later added her mother's and hoped to one day add her daughter's.

This idea made me think??? why not frame it. How big is it? I remember them being less than a yard after they were washed. Mom and Grandma use to have tea towels made from them, we have even used them for table scarves for end tables, and crochet edging.

Blessings, Ruth

They make darling quilts if you have enough.

It would be a shame not to use them. Do you have enough for a quilt or a wall hanging??

There are 9 pieces about 1 yd each. Should be enough to do something with. Thanks for all the ideas.

If there is enough I would make a quilt with them even if it was a lap size :D

I think that I would make a quilt from them because they would be less likely to be discarded by someone who didn't know their history. That's the way it would be in my family.
