Does any of you have directions for doing fidget quilts for patients?.
Thanks, Velda |
My understanding of a fidget quilt is just made of squares and/or rectangles using textured fabrics like faux fur, silk, velvet, polartech, satin, velour, etc. The folks just stroke the fabric and feel the textures which I understand is very calming. Its almost like the "blankie" that babies use.
So just choose a block size and make a laprobe. I think texture is more important than size. Hope this helps. Suzanne |
I'd never heard of such a thing. Thank you so much for that information Suz! :)

Amazing how we think of these things. It was only this morning that I got an email from my friend who was visiting her mom who lives in a home in Canada. She said the ladies were making fegit quilts for the Alzheimer patients.
She said to put buttons and zippers. I thought you could put large yo yo's like the Amy Butler quilt that is just lovely...I am making one for my friends mom (another friend) |
Turning 20. Yellow Brick Road...any of those would do and you can just add the zipper and buttons and yo yo. I will post mine when I get my Mindless done.
