I use warm and natural in mine and their is a fabric you can buy to put on the back, not sure what they call it, but is the same stuff they put on ironing board covers. Its silver and looks metallic. I purchased some and lined a tote bag with it so I could carry my iron back and forth to classes. Marge

You can also use Insul-Bright (needled insulated lining). It's used along with batting and a backing. Package says it's ideal for pot holders, table pads, oven mitts, baby water heater covers, casserole cozy, insulated soft lunch carriers, ironing board covers, outdoor stadium cushions, etc. It's also recommended to conserve body warmth and used in vests, gloves & mittens, hats, etc.

I bought mine online and then found that my JoAnn's sells it. I made potholders and a large ironing pad for my quilting table.
