Has anyone of you seen one of these quilts? I am looking for a pattern for one and cant seem to find one anywhere. I have found a pattern for 4, 6, 8 etc as a lone star quilt but never one with just 5 points. Can anyone help me???? Miss Tami

you could make that up in paper, then make templates. Otherwise, you'd need to devise 72 degree angles, and it could get really messy real fast. With an odd number of center points coming together, there would be no getting around Y seams, and be very very hard to get to lay flat in the middle.

Thank you.

Thats a great idea. I am new to this quilting thing and would have never thought of using paper first. Thanks a bunch.

Here's a paper-pieced one. http://www.quilterscache.com/F/FiveP...StarBlock.html

Thank you for that pattern but it isnt quite what I am looking for, The quilt that my husband saw was made of several diamonds like a bethlehem quilt but it was only a five pointed star. I have a feeling that the person who made this quilt made it a once in a life time thing. I have been searching the internet for almost six months now. Thanx once again for trying. I really appreciate it. Tami
