I like using them but unfortunately the iron got too close and melted couple on the bottom. Had trouble getting it off the
iron. How stupid can I get.

FLat head pins
 
I atried writing a quick response but it disappeared. Anyway I have the flat head pins too but made the mistake of letting the iron get too close and melted on the bottom what a mess. I'm so stuipid.

Flat-headed flower pens are nortorious for reaching out and sticking people LOLOL

I have some and I like them alot. Very easy to handle. Go for it.

I have had a problem with the flower top coming off of the pin. just sayin

I had the same problem of the flower top coming off the yellow dritz pins, especially when pinning sandwiches. They did better when just piecing. I had no problem with the ones I ordered from Clover. The flat head pins that look like buttons (I think they are also DRitz) are horrible. They are not very sharp and they break.

I love the flower head pins. That said, I have tossed the yellow ones -- the ones I had were thick and dull. I do use glass headed pins if I am going to take something that is pinned to the ironing board. I have not had a lot of trouble with the heads coming off (the pins I have are multicolored), but my arthritis hands love the flower head pins.
