does anyone use a small lap frame that can be flipped over from a smaller size to larger size. It fits in you lap. Ive seen them in pictures but not up close.

Yes, I have one, but I can't remember its name. It has a 14in hoop on one side, and a 10in hoop on the other. I got mine from ebay, and I found it very useful to quilt the centre of a queen sized wholecloth I completed recently.

did you have to baste a lot to use this sort of frame?
