I need some help. I am making a quilt that calls for flipping seams. I don't know what that is or how to do it and the instructions only say to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

It probably means to iron one row going one way and the next going the other so that when you join the rows the seams will nest together and you don't have as much bulk. Some people press seams open to cut down on bulk where the seams meet. Of course, it may mean something entirely different. Seems like everytime I turn around there's a new term or technique.

Instructions that aren't actually instructions are really annoying. You may figure out what they mean during the construction. Or not. There's a good chance you can just ignore it and do it how ever you've been doing it.

I think this is probably what they mean.

I am not sure it does mean that, i wish I could show you but I cannot load pictures yet, I think it means putting two pieces right side together, sewing the seam and then flipping one over so you now have two right sides, it is used for grandmothers fan,log cabin. One of the others will for sure be able to explain better than me, and maybe show a picture.
