I am attempting FMQ for the first time on my brother cs6000i. Am just trying some stippling in the border areas, but am getting "eyelashing" on the bottom side. Do I need to adjust the tension? More? Or less? Is this the only fix I need? I appreciate all your help in advance....coz you guys are the best and have all the right answers!

Speed up the machine, slow down the hands.

I have a brohter NX450q. I take the top tension to 0. And the stitch length to 0.1.

I lower my tension,(I also have a Janome)to #3. Also make sure that you lower your presser foot, sometime it is easy to forget when doing free motion.

My Brother plays up when it needs a new needle, if all else fails try that.
