FMQ for a young boy's quilt
I have a large twin size quilt that I am quilting for my 11 yr old grandson. It is all very bright colors and simple blocks. I have already STID around all the blocks and some of the inner block patterns. The problem is what design to quilt in the setting triangles and the few blocks that are very plain. The blocks are 7" and will require some type of quilting to secure the batting. I would normally do a feather or something a bit more swirly, but I just don't think that quite "gets it" for a young boy. So I am asking for suggestions - please keep in mind that I am relatively new to FMQ on my Janome 6600 and most designs I try don't look anything like they are supposed to by the time I get them done....LOL! Is there a free site where you can download continuous quilting patterns?
