Foot Feed Stays in One Spot

I finally this morning took the time to put strip(s) of sticky backed velcro on the bottom of my sewing machine footfeed. Mine are used on carpet, so the loopy part of velcro really keeps them stuck in one place. Don't know why I waited so long to this. Took all of 2 or 3 minutes to accomplish!

What a great tip! Wish I had done that when I had a carpeted sewing room.

How funny, I just did the same yesterday! Not sure why I didn't think of it sooner - my pedal would wander all over the place before. Now it'll always be right where it should be. I can't even remember if I thought up the idea myself or saw that someone else had done it...either way it works really well!

Wow!! Why didn't I think of that. I get so tired of chasing my foot pedal around under my sewing table....

I use the rubber shelf liner. It also works wonderful.

Took me a while to figure out that you were talking about the control that sets on the floor!

Another DUH moment for me.

Sounds like an excellent - and easy - way to keep that pedal in one place.

I have hard wood floors and use a mouse pad under my foot control

I found that using a rubber car floor board mat with the little spikes on the bottom, works well for me. On top of the mat I use the rubberized shelf lining..the foot pedal stays put.

Don't feel bad, you're not the only one! At first, I thought she was talking about the presser foot, lol.

I too, use a mouse pad. There are some cute quilt ones available.
